I had a playdate with a friend in early September and worked on some card fronts using in particular the Delicate Pines bundle with Jar of Joy, Long Time No See and Stay Warm stamp sets. I'd forgotten to hit go to post this which is why it's just going up now, lol! In my defence though, I was preoccupied with our upcoming big trip that we took to Australia in September!

So through much trial and error (on my end not following their excellend directions!), this became a reality. Not bad for my first one and can't wait to make more! Hubby and his Dad helped me out with the insides, I used a wood round which they cut a hole into for me and shortened a piece of dowling I had and I made a light base for the inside of it. I think it turned out great and learned lots on how to go about it next time 'cause there will be a next time, it's such a great project!
I tried to say that I had my tree put up now but my sister was having none of that and said it didn't count, haha!

Using Jennifer Maker files again, playing with the Cricut and a stash of oh so much paper, this time I created one of the Festive DIY Shadow Box ornaments.
Dusted off my Cricut recently because I haven't use it in ahem a long while. Using a file from Jennifer Maker, I created this so cute Gingerbread Pop Up House card! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!

Loving the new Poppin' By stamp set and dies ... summer is the time of year you'll likely be able to drag me to a theatre 'cause that's usually when the BIG movies come out that need to be seen on a big screen. This year so far, I've only been to one but who knows, maybe another one or two might get me there again!
This fun little card was inspired from StampedTreasures on Youtube, I watched the beginning and then had to run so not sure how hers finished up but here is mine. I used Darling Duckling ink, Memento Tuxedo Black ink and Real Red ink. For fun, I used a white gel pen and mimicked the holes from the film strip on the black mat layer. The 'Happy Birthday' is from the Best Family Ever stamp set which is sadly retired. It has so many great sentiments so I will likely keep on using it!
